Laura has always had a passion for leading a healthy and active lifestyle. Doing so has led her to discover her love for alternative, holistic healing practices.

Laura first discovered osteopathy while completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at The University of Waterloo. After a back injury left her with severe pain for almost 3 years, and exhausting all other therapies that she knew of, Laura was recommended to see an osteopath. Within a few treatments she was almost pain free. This ignited her interest in learning more about a manual therapy that was less of a short-term solution and had long lasting effects.

In 2018 Laura graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy with a Master’s in Osteopathic Manual Sciences (M.OMSc.), with over 4200 hours of education and clinical training. She is enthusiastic about sharing the benefits of osteopathy and helping patients become more knowledgeable and self-aware about how the body functions and has the ability to self-heal.

Laura has an interest, specifically, in helping those with chronic pain. Her background in strength and conditioning as well as yoga and breathwork, allows her to help her patients by also educating and providing suggestions for self-care between appointments to help them achieve their ideal health. By using a holistic approach to treatment that focuses on self-awareness and prevention instead of reaction, Laura is able to not only educate her patients but give them the confidence to understand their own unique body.

When not in the clinic, Laura can be found with her horse and two dogs. Laura spends the majority of her free time training and competing in Show Jumping. Her and her husband both share a love for the mountains and being outdoors, which led them to move to Calgary in 2022.

Laura is a registered Manual Osteopathic Practitioner with OSTCAN Alberta in good standing. She is covered by all Alberta Extended Health Plans.
